2025 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge 50/50 Lottery House Rules (Rules of Play)
Event Name: 2025 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge
Event Dates: October 31 – November 8, 2025
Location of Draws: Rath Eastlink Community Centre, 625 Abenaki Road, Truro, Nova Scotia, B2N 0G6
1. General Information
- These draws are conducted by the Central Nova Scotia Civic Centre Society (operating the Rath Eastlink Community Centre) to support the 2025 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. Proceeds from the draws help promote local tourism, engage audiences, offset event costs, and support the continued development of major sporting events in the region.
- Draws will occur prior to the end of the 3rd period of designated games, as outlined in the official schedule, using Tap 5050 software. The software ensures tickets are available only to Nova Scotia residents through geolocation and postal code verification.
- Tickets will be sold online and in person throughout the event.
2. Draw Procedures
- A draw will occur prior to the end of the 3rd period of each scheduled game during the event, in accordance with the official draw schedule.
- Each draw will be conducted automatically using Tap 5050 software, which will randomly select the winning ticket number.
- The draw schedule is as follows:

Note: “End Time” indicates the cut-off point for ticket sales, which occurs prior to the end of the 3rd period of the designated game.
3. Ticket Purchase and Eligibility
- MUST BE 19+ to play.
- Tickets are available for purchase by any individual physically located in Nova Scotia, as verified by Tap 5050’s geolocation system.
- Tickets can be purchased online or in person at the event.
- Ticket pricing is as follows:
- 1 ticket for $5
- 3 tickets for $10
- 10 tickets for $20
- 50 tickets for $50
- 200 tickets for $100
- There are no restrictions on ticket purchases by event organizers, volunteers, or their families.
- For in-person sales, a receipt must be provided and must be free of any markings that could compromise the legibility of the information.
4. Ticket Sales Requirements
- A minimum of 2 tickets must be sold for the draw to proceed.
- There will be no extensions of the draw date and no cancellations, regardless of the number of tickets sold.
5. Prize Awarding and Payout
- One winner will be selected for each draw.
- The winner will receive 50% of the total ticket sales for that draw.
- No prizes will be offered in lieu of the cash payout.
- The prize will be paid out via cheque to the winner.
6. Winner Notification and Claim Process
- The winning number will be announced at the event and posted on the official event website: www.therecc.ca.
- If the winner is not present at the time of the announcement, they will be contacted using the information provided during ticket purchase.
- If the winner cannot be reached or fails to claim their prize within 90 days, the prize will be redrawn.
